I'm back

After a looooong hiatus, during which time included a move, two quick weekend trips and a visit to my youngest daughter to care for her "elephants" (really large dogs), I'm back.
I'll be posting pics (if I can get them from my youngest. She's threatening to make me sign a non-disclosure statement since she doesn't want her pics posted, arrrgh) and info about the trips along with other miscellany in the next few days as I valiantly try to get back into the swing of things here at home.
One of the first things on the list after unpacking and doing laundry is renewing my license.  In Alabama it doesn't expire on your birthday, it expires on some random date so as to keep you on your toes and almost assuredly cause you to forget to renew (which in turn can generate cash for the state!). This "diabolical" plan was thwarted however, for which I am thankful, when the TSA prior to my flight checked my ID and commented it had almost expired. Chalk 1 up for TSA. I guess they deserve it, goodness knows there's more than enough to chalk up against them,
So. . . until tomorrow, I'm signing off.

Moving

Just a quick update. We've been MOVING. What chore! Especially working around Bill's crazy schedule, ugh.

Hopefully we'll be finished soon and things will get back to normal.

Very funny and strange conversation with the kid yesterday. 

Found out she's practicing to become a bum at 30.

Must say some of her habits i.e. room cleaning, shows she's getting PLENTY of practice, and won't be lacking in some areas!

Perplexed

First off I have to say, that it was strange signing into my blog and seeing my Mother's pic! I forgot we posted pics in memory of our Moms on Facebook. Wow, did it bring the tears.

Well, I discovered a strange phenomenon, or maybe it's just me over analyzing things again. But, I've noticed that when I'm not feeling well (which is all too frequently anymore) that if I'm fixing a meal I tend to grab the plastic type dinnerware (not disposable kind) instead of the china/ceramic and when I'm feeling better I grab the china/ceramic.
Now, if it was disposable it would make sense, but it's not. And since I'm the primary cook and bottle washer around here, I'm perplexed as to why I do it. We don't have a dish-washing machine so everything is hand washed.  Any ideas?
BTW, for anyone (anybody??) wondering it wasn't that easy. A couple of days later it was back to the same old same old. So much for the honeymoon. She's wanting to add pink streaks now. Thinking it might be worth it if for no other reason than a second honeymoon, LOL.
