The police can't do anything until I get the affidavit from the credit card company and that takes approximately 21 days. Then because it's out of sate, I may not be able to do anything other than file the report.

Identity theft
Found out around 8 this morning that I've been the victim of identity theft. The credit card was in my purse. Have been running around to police department and on phone cancelling cards, contacting the credit bureau fraud department and putting freeze on my accounts. Unfortunately, these creeps get away with this coz there is soooooooooo very, very little you can do until they strike again.

Announcement
I'm now doing reviews of all books I read, which are primarily fiction and Christian at http://booksabounding.blogspot.com/.
Having said that, my first book review is non-fiction titled Heaven is for Real, a true story of a four year old's visit to heaven.
I'll continue to do some book blogging on this site but the majority will be on Books Abounding.
Stay tuned to the new blog for contests, giveaways and promotions!

A Major Disappointment
I'm really disappointed.
I was chosen to be a blogger for the Women of Faith Tour (received notice late July), but I haven't received the tickets and the location I chose had their event over the weekend.
I sent polite inquiry e-mails to the place that contacted me and haven't received any information.
Now, I realize they're probably very busy but I don't think it takes very long to reply to at least one of my two truly polite inquiries.
Anyway, I'm disappointed and so is the friend I invited to go with me.
I can't figure out what happened or why, and apparently can't get answers either.

Dad
Dad's been back in the hospital again.
The Dr said he had a non-significant, mild heart attack!??

Busy
The last month has been a busy hectic time.
The g'daughter has had to have many, many tests for a myriad of problems and then Saturday Dad went in the hospital.
We've gotten conflicting reports; one said he was going to need open heart surgery again (his last was in '98) and another one said nothing was wrong. Same heart, same person-go figure.
Anyway, we can't see his Dr. before Monday so hopefully that visit will answer our questions.
He had a heart cath and we don't know the results yet.
He's home now trying to rest and refusing to let me help much, grrr.

I'm back

After a looooong hiatus, during which time included a move, two quick weekend trips and a visit to my youngest daughter to care for her "elephants" (really large dogs), I'm back.
I'll be posting pics (if I can get them from my youngest. She's threatening to make me sign a non-disclosure statement since she doesn't want her pics posted, arrrgh) and info about the trips along with other miscellany in the next few days as I valiantly try to get back into the swing of things here at home.
One of the first things on the list after unpacking and doing laundry is renewing my license. In Alabama it doesn't expire on your birthday, it expires on some random date so as to keep you on your toes and almost assuredly cause you to forget to renew (which in turn can generate cash for the state!). This "diabolical" plan was thwarted however, for which I am thankful, when the TSA prior to my flight checked my ID and commented it had almost expired. Chalk 1 up for TSA. I guess they deserve it, goodness knows there's more than enough to chalk up against them,
So. . . until tomorrow, I'm signing off.
God bless everyone and have a fantastic day!
